My Approach
Reproductive life transitions - particularly the perinatal period - are a time of profound vulnerability characterized by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, and social dynamics. This can create a cascade of stressors that impact mental health, relationships, and overall well-being, often exacerbated by societal expectations and systemic inequalities. This transition encompasses a wide range of reproductive experiences that can deeply impact your mental health and emotional landscape. Feeling overwhelmed during these times is normal, and seeking specialized support is essential for navigating these transformative experiences.
In my practice supporting individuals and relationships, I emphasize a reproductive justice framework to support mental health and well-being. My approach is rooted in anti-oppressive, liberatory, and culturally attuned mental health practices, emphasizing the importance of connectedness and shared humanity. I draw from a variety of therapeutic techniques including Relational Cultural Therapy, Liberation Psychology, Internal Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Existential Therapy & Emotionally Focused Therapy, to meet your needs.
My hope is to co-create a brave, collaborative and inclusive environment where you can openly discuss your experiences and concerns. Whether you're adjusting to new roles, coping with anxiety or mood shifts, facing identity stigmatization, processing birth trauma or walking with grief, I’m here to guide you with warmth, empathy, and understanding.
It would be a privilege yo walk alongside you as you gain clarity and insight, reconnect with your embodied wisdom, and restore trust in your innate ability to care for yourself, your children, and your community. Your story matters, and I look forward to understanding your current situation, the challenges you face, and the future you envision. It would be an honour to support you on this journey.
